There’s something wrong

April 26, 2012

You know

There’s something wrong

Sleeping is an effort

And waking up too is an effort

When being sober is an effort

And being drunk is too an effort

You want to run through the night

And wait for the dawn to dawn

And run through the wee hours

To be in work again

In work you find an escape

And an obscure route to escape the reality

Drowning yourself, immersing yourself

Escaping yourself from you

You are afraid of talking

Talking to the people who mean

Who are your near and dear ones

You run through

Your life

In moments

In minutes

In hours

In days

In weeks

In months

In years

And then life was gone

You are afraid of being yourself

And letting yourself be yourself

And expressing yourself

You are no more the mellow you used to be

‘ve no more the Love that you used to possess

And no more the compassion that you used to own

And no more the sympathy that you used to boast of

You hide all in your shrill laughter

And shrill voice

And shrill arguments

And then one day

Your thoughts are shrill

And you are shrill

And your soul is shrill

Your conscience is shrill

And in the end life is shrill

You know

There’s something wrong

The wrongness, is what? Perhaps the desire not to live in the moment?

As children we all used to live in the moment, then we got educated out of it. Living in the moment has to be relearned, and then constantly followed.

living the way it used to be in our childhood would be really wonderful and will give immense solace to one and all…
